Merlin Top Primary Academy: Inspiring Hope with The Captain Tom Foundation
Northern Education Trust Merlin Top Primary Academy pupils in year groups 1 to 6 have been working closely with their local council to participate in the Captain Tom 100 Challenge celebrated Friday 30 April to Monday 3 May 2021. The academy produced this eye-catching photograph to promote the charity work of the Captain Tom Moore Foundation.
Captain Sir Tom Moore was born and raised in Keighley where Merlin Top Primary Academy is located and the academy was proud to continue spreading the optimism and fighting spirit that he started throughout lockdown last year in the heart of his hometown.
Each of the class bubbles were responsible for their different sections of the photograph and worked together to inspire hope and positivity that “tomorrow will be a good day.” Creating the picture has allowed pupils to collaboratively carry on Captain Sir Tom Moore’s legacy. Well done Merlin Top Primary Academy.
