🏫 Merlin Top Primary Academy Wraparound Care is Back for September!
Parents, are you getting ready for the new school year?
We are delighted to confirm that our Breakfast Club and Wraparound Care (After School) options will be available from September to support your busy ...schedules!
🌤️ Breakfast Club
Give your child the best possible start to the day.
When: Open from 8:00 AM daily.
What's Included: A healthy breakfast to fuel their learning.
Cost: Free
Entrance: Entrance is via the Breakfast Club Door.
🥪 Wraparound Care (After School)
Safe, fun, and engaging care until home time.
When: 3:05 PM – 5:30 PM.
What's Included: Fun activities including games and sport, plus a light tea / healthy snack.
Cost: £7 per day per child.
Booking: All bookings and payments are via ParentPay.
Collection: Main Entrance (press the bell)
⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT: Information for BRAND-NEW Parents!
If you are a new parent to Merlin Top Primary Academy in September and need to access our wraparound care services, please read the following:
1. Contact Us: As soon as the school reopens, please let the School Office know that you require wraparound care until you receive a login.
2. Activation Letter: The office team will send you a ParentPay activation letter containing your unique login details.
3. Timeline: We aim to send these login details in the first week of the new term, allowing you to activate your account and book the care you need.

We’re pleased to introduce our new PE Day guidance for the 2026–27 academic year! 💜
Please note that PE lessons will start in Week 2.
We hope this guidance will make our expectations clear and help us maintain ...high uniform standards on PE days, ensuring that all children come to school dressed appropriately, safely and ready to take part in PE.
Please take a look at the guidance and make sure your child has the correct PE kit for their PE day.

Ensuring everyone comes ready in the correct uniform helps our children ...show pride, feel part of our school community, and start every day ready to learn.
UPDATE:
Purple polo shirts can still be worn but following the school uniform guidance we have to make clear what is the most accessible and best value option for parents.
EYFS jumpers are blue

What a fantastic day our Reception children have had! ☀️🎉
We started the morning bouncing on the inflatables, and the fun only got better from there! The ice cream van arrived with some delicious treats 🍦, followed by our very special Graduation Party.
A huge thank you ...to all of the grown-ups who came to celebrate this special milestone with us. Your support made the day even more memorable.
To our wonderful Reception Class of 2026 – you have been an absolute joy to teach. We are so proud of everything you have achieved this year and can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll do in Year 1.

Our wonderful Year 3 children have teamed up with Our Lady of Victories Catholic Primary School to help design the brand-new "Magical Creatures of Cat Steps" community walk! 🗺️💫
If you head down to Cat Steps, make sure to ...keep your eyes peeled for the 8 magical creatures our pupils helped bring to life, including:

✨ And just like that… today was Miss Newton’s last day with the amazing Class of 2026! 💖
What a way to finish the year! We bounced, climbed, laughed and had the BEST time on the inflatables before celebrating with the most magical fairy tale party! 🏰✨
The costumes ...were absolutely incredible! We had beautiful princesses, brave knights, magical characters and even a KING! 👑 Everyone looked amazing, and the children brought so much energy, excitement and smiles all day long. It was the perfect way to celebrate an unforgettable year together.
A huge thank you to all of our wonderful children and their families for making this year so special. Watching you all grow, learn and shine has been an absolute privilege.
Class of 2026, you’ve been truly magical! Have the most amazing next adventure – keep dreaming big, believing in yourselves and making memories. I’ll miss you all so much! ❤️✨
