Bullying is deliberately hurtful behaviour that ...is repeated over time, making it difficult for the person being targeted to defend themselves.
A simple rule to remember is S.T.O.P.: 👉 Several Times On Purpose
Note: Bullying is not an occasional falling out with friends, a single argument, or a childish prank. While friendship breakdowns happen as children grow, bullying is intentional and repeated.
🚩 Signs for Parents to Watch For:
Unwillingness to go to school or changes in daily routines.
Becoming unusually anxious, withdrawn, or lacking confidence.
Damaged or missing books, clothing, or belongings.
Unexplained cuts or bruises.
Asking for extra money or coming home starving.
Anxiety or jumpiness when receiving text messages or social media notifications.
🛡️ Advice for Students (The Anti-Bullying Code):
Stay Safe: Keep calm, leave the situation, and make yourself safe.
Speak Up: ALWAYS tell someone—a teacher, learning manager, parent, or put a note in our 'Talk it Out' box. NEVER keep it a secret.
Don't Retaliate: Do not fight back or get your own back.
Keep Telling: If the behaviour doesn't stop, tell another adult until action is taken.
🤝 How Parents Can Help:
Listen & Reassure: Ask about your child's day and reassure them that bullying is never their fault.
Contact Us: If you suspect bullying, contact your child’s Class Teacher or Senior Leaders right away.
Avoid Direct Action: Please do not approach other children or encourage your child to fight back—let school staff investigate and resolve the issue.

To protect students from digital disruption and cyberbullying, mobile phones must remain switched off and out of sight throughout the school day. Cyberbullying (including offensive messages, video misuse, or AI-generated deepfakes/manipulated imagery) is strictly unacceptable and subject to clear sanctions.
